Anirak is a London based artist and photographer. She pursued a professional career in television and documentary film making before moving to London and reigniting her childhood passion for painting and photography.
Her work is influenced deeply by memories, especially of colours, emotions and music. Most art work represents something from daily life and embraces fragments/ portions/ combinations of light, expressions of happiness, joy, music and bursts of colour that evoke a deep chord even in the fading light of dusk.
"Colour works with sounds. It travels within forms and envelopes the senses. I almost always am drawn to it in the deepening darkness. I am aware of the tiniest bright daffodil on a cold gloomy grey walk and it is enough to light up my path and my mind. Colour lifts me up. Its energy travels from within what’s holding it and radiates. It draws me and strengthens me."
